Effective September 22, 2026. Zoos News is published by Love Productions LLC.
Reading Zoos News requires no account. We use session analytics to understand site use, and the social accounts our software connects to are our own.
What this site collects
Our first-party analytics beacon sends page visits, Wild Headlines video plays (rapid plays are coalesced), share-button presses and newsletter form submissions to our analytics service at app.tascan.io. Each event includes a random session key stored only in sessionStorage for the current browser tab, the event type and page path, plus the story UUID, story or clip slug, referring URL and utm_source campaign tag when available. The beacon uses no cookies, no cross-site identifier and no device-persistent identifier; it does not send newsletter email addresses or other form contents. It sends nothing when the browser reports Do Not Track as 1 or the page has __ZN_OPTOUT enabled, and skips events if sessionStorage cannot be used. Separately, requests that reach our share-link function generate a share_link_hit event with a fresh per-request key and available story and referral metadata; these may include crawler requests, cannot read the browser opt-out flag and honor a DNT: 1 request header. The receiving servers also receive ordinary network request information such as IP addresses, which can identify a visit even though the beacon itself carries no account or name.
Hosting. Our host, Netlify, receives ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type and pages requested.
Newsletter sign-up. If you give us your email address for The Daily Wire, we keep it only to send you the wire, and you can unsubscribe from any issue. We never sell or rent the list.
Store orders. Merchandise checkout is handled by Stripe. We receive the shipping details needed to print and ship your order and nothing else. Card numbers never touch our servers.
Share links. Links you share from a story carry a plain tag saying which button was used (for example "text" or "email") so we can see which channels people like. They identify a button, not a person.
Our YouTube, Instagram and Facebook connections
Zoos News runs an automated newsroom that publishes our own clips and columns to our own channels. To do that, our software holds authorized connections to the Zoos News YouTube channel, Instagram account and Facebook Page.
These connections access only our own accounts. The software never requests, stores or reads data from anyone else's Google, YouTube, Instagram or Facebook account.
Our use of Google user data is limited to uploading videos to the Zoos News channel and reading that channel's own statistics, and complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Public engagement on our posts (likes, comments, shares, view counts) is read as aggregate numbers to decide what to publish next. We do not build profiles of the people who engage.
Children
Zoos News is written for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
