Bear Relieves Itself on Camera, Nation's Doorbell Feeds Rejoice
A bear was filmed doing its business in a family's front yard, marking what this reporter believes is the least dignified security footage to cross his desk all week.
The footage, captured on a home camera system, shows the animal treating suburban landscaping as it would any patch of forest floor, which is to say, without ceremony or hesitation.
No injuries, no break-ins, no property damage beyond what any reasonable lawn service would call 'seasonal.' Just a bear, a yard, and a moment nobody in that household will ever fully unsee.
Big Darlene, a deer who frequents the same neighborhood greenbelt, was asked for her take on the bear's choice of facilities.
Her reaction suggested this is far from the strangest thing she's witnessed on that lawn.
Webster would like it on the record that he, personally, would never do his business in front of a doorbell camera. Then again, nobody's ever offered him a front yard that nice.
